Junior Theatre Festival Professional Development

Junior Theatre Festival New Zealand produced by StageAntics is thrilled to be back in 2022 with the largest celebration of Music Theatre in Aotearoa.

The festival sees international teaching artists and the creators of the Broadway JR catalogue come to Aotearoa to work with our young performers and teacher/artisitic teams alike to not only help develop skills but to help instill a full love of musical theatre and its holistic learning ability.
Musical Theatre has the power to promote positive change in the lives of its participants and has been described as the “superfood” of the Arts (Tim McDonald, CEO iTheatrics) because it encompasses the multiple disciplines of Drama, Music, Dance, Visual Arts and Media or Digital Arts.

The Junior Theatre Festival provides the opportunity for kaiako and ringa tahu to learn and develop their kete (bag) of tools alongside international and national teaching artists and industry practitioners in workshops taught just like we teach our own students, with an emphasis on experiential learning, active skill building, and an overall focus on fun.

For only $90 you can be a part of this year's festival and be a part of two days of fun, learning and a lot of Jazz Hands from 1pm Friday 4th November and all day Saturday 5th November.

WHEN: Friday 4th & Saturday 5th November, 2022
WHERE: The Victory Centre, Freeman’s Bay, AKLD
